Be Rooted

A plant is only as good as its roots. If the roots are shallow, the plant will be destroyed by the first strong wind. If the roots get too wet, the plant will rot–too dry, the plant will wither.

If the root isn’t getting enough nutrients, any fruit produced will be puny and small. We, too, must be rooted if we are to thrive as the righteous people of God. We must be rooted properly in love. Not too shallow.

Not too dry. We need to plant ourselves in the rich soil of God’s love and let those nutrients flow through us so that the fruit we produce is lush, ripe, and healthy. When we are properly rooted in love, we produce love. And if we produce healthy “fruit,” we will benefit all who come in contact with us.

‎There will be people in your life, you’re treating right, but they’re doing you wrong, leaving you out. They’re jealous. The time will come when you can get even, you can pay them back, you can leave them out.

That’s a test. Will you do to them what they did to you? Or will you be the bigger person, take the high road, and be good to them despite what they did? That’s not just being nice; that’s passing the test. That’s showing God that you can carry the weight of glory, the weight of influence, the weight of leadership.

‎Prayer also requires that you be persistent. We have to incorporate faith into our prayers in order for them to be effective. When we are praying, we should not be moved by what we do or what we don’t see.

Maintain the belief that your prayers will come to fruition. Don’t pray from a place of begging. Pray in a manner that speaks victory and thanksgiving, because your prayers will surely be answered.

‎When it’s painful, don’t get discouraged. Get ready, you’re about to give birth. That discomfort you’re feeling, it’s not just a random pain; those are birth pains. There’s a gift in that pain.

There’s a ministry in that pain. There’s a new level in that pain. Don’t waste it. Look for opportunities. He wouldn’t have allowed it if He didn’t have a purpose. Your pain is going to be turned into your gain.
